People's Republic of China (PRC; pinyin: Zhonghua Renmin Gongheguo; traditional: 中华人民共和国; Simplified Simple: 中华人民共和国; also called the People's Republic of China / PRC) is a communist country that consists of almost all areas of culture, history, and geographical known as the Chinese / China. Since its founding in 1949, the PRC has been led by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Though often seen as a communist country, most of the republic economy has been privatized since three decades ago. However, the government is still watching the political economy, especially with companies owned by the government and the banking sector. Politically, he still remains a one-party rule.

PRC is the country with the world's largest population, with a population exceeding 1.3 billion people, mostly tribes people are Han. The PRC also is the largest country in East Asia, and the third largest in the world, after Russia and Canada. China borders 14 countries: Afghanistan, Bhutan, Myanmar, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, North Korea, Laos, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Vietnam.

In an ongoing dispute, the PRC's claim over Taiwan and ruled the surrounding islands who have never released by the Republic of China. The government charged that the PRC Republic of China is an entity that no longer form and administratively placed Taiwan as a province of the PRC 23. (See China and Political status of Taiwan for more information).

China claims sovereignty of Taiwan but did not command (same thing also applies to the Pescadores, Quemoy, and Matsu). Taiwan's political status is controversial; ruled Taiwan Republic of China, who is now based in Taipei. Republic of China claims sovereignty to the entire Chinese mainland and so did the PRC.

Mainland China is a term used to refer to the areas under PRC rule and does not include special administrative region of Hong Kong and Macau. PRC government saw the Chinese government as the New China (新 中国) when comparing himself with China before 1949. The PRC is also known as "Red China" as the same region, especially by his enemies in the West, with reference to the color red is a symbol of communism.
