Phi Phi is a group of small islands on the west coast of southern Thailand. This resort is able to attract millions of tourists each year. Consists of six small islands, the two main islands here are the Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh. This island chain is attracting tourists for its beautiful panorama, a mixture of the clear blue sea with islands of green karst.

Phi Phi and other islands in the region hit by the tsunami devastated the Indian Ocean in 2004. For several years after the disaster, the tourism sector which is the mainstay of this area were destroyed. Hundreds of Phi Phi including foreign tourists dead and missing. But now, it seems no trace of malignancy tsunami. Foreign tourists visit this place again and Phi Phi was a mainstay of the State tour the White Elephant.

Phi Phi Don, the largest island, uninhabited and has a fairly complete facilities. Many tourists choose to spend a few days on this island. The island is also often a port of transit for those who want to go to Ko Lanta or Ko Phanga.

Most of the travelers reach the island of Phi Phi via Phuket, which is also one of the most famous tourist sites in Thailand. Most of the other tourists choose to go to Phi Phi in Krabi mainland via Thailand.

Tourist attractions that usually can be enjoyed from the Phi Phi Islands tour is a visit to Maya Bay. This beautiful cove well-known after a filming location "The Beach" starring Leonardo DiCaprio. In this bay, tourists can capture the scenic beauty of the high karst rocks, traditional boats, or swimming and water play. This place is also very suitable for the sport of snorkeling because the water was clear and the underwater beauty of the panorama. A variety of colorful small fish found on this beach.

You can also watch or Viking Cave Viking Cave is a cave relics of ancient times. Viking cave is located on Phi Phi Leh is uninhabited. You can only see the beauty of the ship, because only a kayak or small boat to approach the cave. The cave was also the location of the bird's nest.

Tour to Phi Phi from Phuket

Twice already I had the opportunity to visit Phi Phi and both times I was fascinated by its beauty. Of Phuket, Phi Phi boat to depart from Rassada Pier.

Although there are tourists who stay in hotels in Phi Phi Don, most still choose day trip, or day trips without staying. Me too.

With a fast boat, the trip from Phuket to Phi Phi to take over an hour. Speed boat can accommodate 25 to 40 passengers, depending on the number of tour participants.

The advantage of this type is the tour you will have more opportunities to move. You will be given time to play at Maya Bay and feed the fish. In addition, the ship will stop at several small islands on the way home. Thailand will cost about 1000-1200 baht per person.

Another option is to use a large ship which is slower (slow boat). The ship can accommodate over 200 people. Consists of four stacking the deck, the ship also serves as a ferry for those who will stay or transit in Phi Phi Don.

With this tour, you can enjoy more time on the boat. It took about 2 hours to get to Phi Phi. However, because the size is too large, the ship can not dock in Maya Bay and passengers can simply enjoy its beauty from a distance. Cost per person for a tour of this type is 650-750 baht Thailand.

Both types of tours provide a buffet lunch at Phi Phi Don. For you are Muslim, do not worry, lunch provided always permissible because the majority of the Phi Phi is a Muslim. For those of you who want prayer pilgrimage, there is a mosque at the end of the island, about 10 minutes from the harbor.
